The Fundamental Concept |
The Fundamental School is designed to provide learning in a highly structured environment. It is a place where selected and planned experiences are carefully prepared and cooperatively undertaken by administrators, parents, students, and the community. The fundamental program attempts to build within each child a sense of responsibility, confidence, pride in accomplishment, and a positive self-image through proven academic achievement. The program is based on the belief that learning takes place best in a carefully organized, well-disciplined, educational surroundings. Curriculum emphasis is placed on reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Instructional variety including structure, organization, pride, and respect for both self and others are an integral part of the basic philosophy of the fundamental school. It is not our desire to stress the negative but to work together in a team concept to establish the traditional model of basic educational values and to insure the basic learning skills. |
